The “Common” Mass Dynamics Toward Divinity or Inferno ⚛️🌪️👑🔥: The Equilibrium of Democratization and Capitalization

I recently had the opportunity to attend an academic forum entitled ‘The Common People and Democracy under Capitalism’, organized by the Center for Political Economy Studies, Faculty of Economics, Chulalongkorn University.

While the discussion identified institutional structural problems within the prevailing political-economic order, I found that its critique remained predominantly top-down rather than bottom-up. As a result, it still lacked a holistic perspective capable of penetrating the underlying truth of the phenomenon.

This was particularly evident in relation to the cycle of civilizational decline driven by the “common” masses under democratic and capitalist systems that lack effective balancing mechanisms. Such institutional deficiencies perpetuate the reproduction of a social mass dynamic that accelerates the erosion of society’s civilizational potential.

This perspective also carries broader implications for the design of democratic and capitalist processes themselves, as well as for understanding their inherent obstacles and structural limitations.

During the forum, I briefly shared some of my own views on these issues (available in the forum recording). Here, I would like to develop those ideas further by integrating a physics-inspired conceptual framework, which I have recently begun studying, with perspectives from the social sciences in order to construct a more comprehensive understanding of the phenomenon as an underlying truth.

1. ⚛️🌫️🧲 The Bond Formation of Free-Radical Selves Gives Rise to the Self-Reproduction of Low-Quality Mass Dynamics

A reproductive culture that fosters low life-capitalization, both materially and in terms of values, inevitably produces large numbers of individuals whose selves remain structurally incomplete—existing in a state of Free-Radical Selves. Lacking internal stability, they are naturally inclined to seek attachment to one another, forming bonds in an attempt to compensate for the incompleteness within themselves.

In an age of instantaneous and perpetual interconnectedness, society functions as a field that facilitates resonance among waves of similar frequencies. This environment accelerates bond formation among these particles, allowing them to aggregate into a social mass that drives the diffusion of value systems corresponding to the low level of life capital accumulated from the outset.

Once this social mass reaches a sufficient scale, it generates a cultural gravitational field that draws more individuals into the same system of valuation. It thereby becomes the center of gravity around which social values are organized, shaping mainstream patterns of production, consumption, and social interaction, while continuously reproducing itself through the very culture it sustains.

2. 🌪️☄️🌀 The Erosive Mass Dynamics of Civilizational Potential Under the Absence of Balancing Mechanisms Reveal the Inherent Deficiencies of Democratic and Capitalist Systems

When the defining characteristics of the majority of the “common” population are themselves the outcome of low life-capitalization in population reproduction, as discussed above, and are compounded by the behavioral-economic limitations of human beings in perceiving long-term costs, what becomes truly concerning is the normative current shaped by the majority. Under its influence, society generates self-reinforcing standards that progressively erode the civilizational potential of humanity.

This dynamic is not merely an obstacle to institutional reform aimed at correcting the deficiencies of existing systems. More fundamentally, it exposes a structural weakness within concepts of democracy and capitalism that rest upon the principle of individual freedom of choice in political and economic markets. If the choices available within those systems are themselves conditioned by the continual reproduction of low standards, then freedom alone cannot ensure desirable outcomes.

Effective balancing mechanisms are therefore indispensable—not only to safeguard the freedom to choose, but also to prevent the continual reproduction of value systems that normalize and perpetuate low standards, thereby shaping the very patterns of choice that individuals come to regard as natural.

During the forum, I illustrated this point through the example of the normalized culture of addiction to processed sugar. This cultural current shapes patterns of production and consumption from the level of public policy to everyday economic activity, influencing industrial profit models, degrading human capital through long-term health burdens, and generating environmental costs through agricultural production designed to satisfy this culturally amplified demand. In essence, it represents a “sweet euphoria” whose fleeting gratification comes at the cost of profound long-term costs borne by society as a whole—a phenomenon I previously conceptualized in Karma Domina as the ‘Sugary Inferno 🍭🍬🔥.

3. 👑🌟⚖️ A Proposal for Generating Ripples of Divinity of the Self Toward Human Excellence in Every Dimension

If humanity is to cultivate a self-reinforcing cycle conducive to sustainable progress and the realization of its highest potential as an intelligent species, our socio-political-economic order must be founded upon the principle of freedom governed by rigorous mechanisms that uphold efficiency and fairness. Such an equilibrium between democratic and capitalist processes should be oriented toward systematically cultivating and sustaining ⛧Divinity of the Self⛧ in every human being—from the very design of our institutional environments onward. (For an example of a governance framework aligned with this philosophy, see my article on Procreative Ethics. 🧬⚙️💫)

This is because ⛧Divinity of the Self⛧ is the only force capable of inspiring individuals to pursue excellence across every dimension of their lives—from the cultivation of their inner selves and the values they consciously embrace, to the coherence of their conduct, and ultimately to the environments and societies in which they live. Such individuals strive to evaluate decisions through the lens of long-term cost-benefit structures, refusing to accept anything that falls short of the standards and principles implied by that understanding. Once this disposition becomes rooted at the spiritual core of one’s being, it becomes inconceivable to willingly affirm anything that is insufficient in any dimension of life—including remaining among the “common” in a society that has surrendered to mediocrity beneath the standards that ought to prevail.

⛧Divinity of the Self⛧ can emerge only in those who have been nurtured to recognize the intrinsic worth of their own selves, together with the accumulation of sufficient Life Capital to develop the intellectual capacity necessary to comprehend the principles of efficiency and fairness. The conceptual soul of Karma Domina

Such is the ideal toward which humanity ought to aspire. Yet the prevailing culture of reproduction and self-formation has not been conducive to the emergence of ⛧Divinity of the Self⛧. Instead, it has produced the low-quality mass dynamics and systemic deficiencies discussed throughout this essay.

Consequently, the only viable path forward is to generate ever-expanding ripples of the pursuit of excellence through the dissemination of the idea of ⛧Divinity of the Self⛧. Within institutional conditions that suppress human flourishing, genuine transformation must begin from within the self before converging into a broader social current composed of individuals who are unwaveringly devoted to the sacredness of their own selves. This alone offers hope for guiding society toward a new equilibrium—one brought about by individuals committed to excellence in every dimension of life and united by a shared understanding of long-term cost-benefit structures, both as members of society and as participants in the broader destiny of humanity, while recognizing the cyclical nature of existence itself.

Ultimately, the purpose is to bring an end to the perpetual transmission of every form of substandard commonness and degradation, replacing it with a self-sustaining cycle through which a civilization of excellence is continually passed from one generation to the next—a civilization worthy of the extraordinary gift of being born as an intelligent human being.
